Dr. Schmelter and his team provide an array of aesthetic solutions for his patients.  The most common procedures requested are the following:

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the most common types of cosmetic dentistry.  As we age, our teeth get darker.  Certain foods and drinks also can cause staining.  Coffee, red wine, blueberries, basically anything other than water has the potential to stain your teeth.

Off the shelf, store bought whitening solutions help for some patients.  Professional teeth whitening solutions are a stronger potency and can whiten your teeth several shades brighter without irritating your gums.

At My Time Dental Centers, we offer custom take-home trays and professional strength whitening solution to whiten your teeth.  After reaching your desired brightness, your trays can be used for touch ups as needed or before special occasions when your teeth need to be photo ready.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain “shells” that are bonded to your front teeth. Porcelain veneers are great for correcting spaces between teeth, broken teeth repair, discolored teeth and crooked teeth. Veneers also make for a great mini makeover for patients who have enamel defects.

Porcelain veneers can completely reshape your front teeth and drastically improve the appearance of your smile. Veneers usually require the removal of minimal tooth structure making them non-invasive and many times our patients do not need to be numbed. They are very durable, and they will give you a beautiful smile for many years.

Cosmetic Bonding

Dental bonding can restore decayed teeth, improve cosmetics and change the color or shape of teeth. Cosmetic dental bonding can also lighten stains and correct minor gaps and crooked teeth.

Bonding is done completely by the dentist in a single appointment while the patient is in the chair.  Because there is there is no dental lab involvement, bonding may cost less than porcelain veneers

Bonding is a resin material that is easily applied and shaped.  Unlike porcelain veneers, dental bonding is more porous and will absorb stains easier.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

One of the primary concerns people often have about dental braces is the aesthetic impact of the metalwork on their smile. Especially for adults, the prospect of wearing unattractive metal braces for long periods of time can be very discouraging. Invisalign® offers an almost invisible aligning system that straightens teeth fast and contains no metal.

Invisalign treatment consists of a series of custom-made aligning trays. The dentist changes the trays every several weeks to fit the new tooth configuration. In addition to the reduced visual impact, Invisalign® aligning trays can be temporarily removed for important occasions – meaning that treatment duration is patient-controlled. Our patients love both the Invisalign® treatment and the stunning results.
