Dr. Schmelter started his career as an administrator for a not-for-profit organization working with developmentally disabled adults in northern Arizona. Soon after, his clients began calling him “Dentist Jeff,” and he quickly realized his true calling.
His college career began at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he completed his bachelor’s degree. Following this, he attended Midwestern University at their Glendale campus and completed a master’s degree in biomedical science. He then went on to Midwestern University in Illinois, where he completed dental school and obtained his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. After dental school, Dr. Schmelter pursued a post-graduate general practice residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. After completing his residency, Dr. Schmelter decided to return home to Phoenix and go into the private sector with a passion for compassionate, pain-free dental care. Dr. Schmelter enjoys all aspects of oral surgery, IV sedation, fixed prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and implantology.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, movies, golfing, bowling, music, and his pups, Nala, Nika and Stella.
